Travelling with Chase Bank and Continental Airlines

Post date: 11/27/2008

Many  of us know very well that if you stick to some company like airline carrier or store chain, you are likely to be rewarded for your devotion. In case of airlines, you can enjoy a frequent flyer program. Programs of this type are developed by two sides - the bank and the airline - and are attached to a special credit card. You only have to use this plastic for airline tickets and enjoy the rewards accumulated for your spendings.

It is quite understandable that airline plastics help not only to reward customers, but also to stimulate their usage of one and the same airline. It is more convenient and savvy for the companies than spending millions on ad campaigns. When searching for a worthy airline plastic money, one should certainly choose the most beneficial plastic.

For example, there is a new credit card offer for frequent flyers of Continental Airlines. This carrier is very popular in the US and their famous OnePass program really made a hit. However, that success didn't make the company relax. Recently, Continental Airlines in cooperation with Chase bank launched a new credit card with unrestricted rewards.

Any credit card for frequent flyers, no matter if the issuer is Citibank, American Express or Discover, works in the following way. You are awarded with miles, points for purchases and services. These airline miles can be redeemed for free flights and other benefits. OnePass program by Continental Airlines became one of the top airmiles program: it was widely used by travelers. However, the company decided to make a better rewards program keeping in mind the old mistakes.

Many users of the program were not quite happy with the OnePass miles program, as they could not quite understand how the points were accumulated and redeemed. In the new credit card offer including TravelBank program Continental Airlines together with Chase bank improved the old OnePass system. Consumers saw that the new TravelBank World MasterCard provided an absolutely new approach to rewarding travelers, implying a clear scheme of miles redemption.

TravelBank rewards program users can accumulate sort of cash back rewards and miles that can be later exchanged for a free flight to any destination on any seat and any day.

Customers who participated in the OnePass program are welcome to change for the new plastic providing TravelBank frequent flyer program. Some of cardholders wonder why Continental Airlines offered a new credit card with a more efficient rewards program instead of improving the old OnePass card. The airline company gives no explanation to this. They stress the fact that TravelBank credit card is the first frequent flyer plastic to allow customers accumulate both airline miles and 'credits' - cash rewards. The cardholder also has freedom to use credits and miles together or separately from each other. Credits can be used to buy a Continental ticket and miles can be exchanged for any flight with no restrictions.
