What’s the best way to reduce balances on 2 of my credit cards and save in interest charges? I’ve been current ob all my bills but I’d like to optimize payments.
A smart strategy to pay off your balances is to consolidate them onto a low APR or 0% APR balance transfer credit card. If, say you’re now paying your 2 cards at 16% and 18% interest rate, you would save a great deal with a 4.99% for life or 0% for 12 or 15 months. Balance transfer credit cards are issued to good and excellent credit customers, which means you should have a 660-850 FICO score and no bad payments in your name to qualify. Searching for a proper balance transfer offer on our site, make sure that its limit is larger than the total of your 2 balances. Look through the balance transfer deals and choose the right card to apply for online.

I recently applied for Discover card but was denied, I don’t get why as my credit has always been good. I did exceed limit on one of my current cards but it was the first time for the whole time. I perceive this denial hurt my scores. What do I do now?
